The New APR2 Service: Expanding Connectivity Between Northeast Asia, Papua New Guinea and Australia

ANL is launching a new direct shipping service that connects China to Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Brisbane, Australia. The first sailing is scheduled to depart Shanghai, China on September 17, 2025.

Operating on a 42-day rotation with three dedicated vessels, APR2 provides a 14-day frequency between sailings, delivering a reliable and consistent service for customers across the Asia-Pacific region.

This new loop is designed to connect major ports in Northeast Asia with key ports in the Pacific Islands, offering greater flexibility and speed for importers and exporters.

A key feature of APR2 is its direct connection between PNG to Brisbane, which significantly reduces transit times to just 8 days from Lae and 3 days from Port Moresby.
