The following release was published by SeaLead:

SeaLead, a fast-growing global shipping line, today announced the addition of the Türkiye – Italy Express (TIE) service, a direct shipping service connecting Türkiye to Italy. This strategic move will strengthen SeaLead’s presence in the region, supporting growing trade flows between Asia, the Mediterranean and Europe, and reducing transit times for customers.

The TIE service is designed to provide a reliable, efficient, and fast transportation solution, offering a structured weekly schedule. The port rotation covers Gemlik, Izmit, Istanbul, Aliaga, Salerno, La Spezia, and Genoa, before returning to Gemlik. The inaugural sailing is scheduled to depart from Gemlik on 25 June 2025.

The TIE service complements SeaLead’s existing network across the Mediterranean, Europe, and Asia, which includes the WARM and 5CX services, and follows a strategic routing through the Suez Canal, offering a time-efficient solution and enabling faster connectivity to the Mediterranean and Europe from Asia, supporting customers with enhanced speed, reliability, and more predictable supply chain operations.

Key features of the TIE service:

  • Weekly dedicated service between Türkiye and Italy
  • Fast and reliable transit times to Salerno, La Spezia, and Genoa
  • Seamless connectivity with SeaLead’s existing network across the Mediterranean, Europe and Asia
