The following customer advisory was published by OOCL:

Dear Valued Customer,

OOCL is pleased to introduce the Japan Vietnam Service (KTX7) to expand our current service portfolio by providing more comprehensive network coverage of the markets between Japan and Vietnam.

OOCL currently offers six loops in the KTX suite of products, connecting Japan to South East Asia markets and the KTX7 will strategically extend our market reach by adding the call to Shimizu. Together with our recently launched JCV service, OOCL will also be able to offer very competitive transit times on two direct services from Haiphong to Japan as well as from Xiamen to Japan which enhances the overall connectivity of the markets being served.

The launch of KTX7 will be via the first sailing from Hong Kong on 14 January with the following port rotation: Osaka – Kobe – Shimizu – Tokyo – Ningbo – Hong Kong – Haiphong – Kaohsiung – Xiamen – Osaka.
