Oceania Service – Reinstatement of Charleston Replacement of Savannah with Charleston

by Hristijan Ivanov

The following release was published by Maersk:

As we are constantly maintaining the integrity our service offerings, and with the operational situation improving in Charleston Wando terminal despite the ongoing toe wall construction, we have taken the decision to re-instate the Charleston call on our Oceania service. We will therefore replace Savannah with Charleston Wando terminal.

In addition to the above, we still believe that the operational situation in Cristobal does not support a return of the Oceania service. We will continue to monitor the situation in Cristobal and review a return of the service once operationally feasible.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES TO THE OC1 SERVICE Current Rotation: Philadelphia > Savannah > Panama Canal > Balboa > Tauranga > Sydney > Melbourne > Port Chalmers > Tauranga > Panama Canal > Manzanillo > Cartagena > Philadelphia
