Maersk - New service implementation: East Mediterranean – West Mediterranean SLN - MEDITERRANEAN SEA C

by Hristijan Ivanov

The following release was published by Maersk:

As part of A.P. Moller – Maersk’s continuous efforts to improve reliability and enable better supply chain planning for our customers across the network, we have identified the need to consolidate the SLH and SLZ services into the new SLN - MEDITERRANEAN SEA C and give our customers better predictability and connectivity. The new direct service between East Mediterranean and West Mediterranean will improve transit times for both export and import customers, consequently improving time to market and supporting our customers’ growth agendas.

The service rotation for the new SLN service will be as follows:

Mersin – Haifa – Alexandria – Fos Sur Mer – Barcelona – Valencia – Algeciras – Casablanca – Port Tangier

We expect the SLN - MEDITERRANEAN SEA C service to go into effect from 10 January, with the first vessel, NEXOE MAERSK 502E to sail Eastbound from Barcelona.

At Maersk, we are constantly evaluating the market situation and acting in the interest of keeping our customers’ supply chains moving with ease. Our teams are here to serve you, so should you have any questions or require additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your local Customer Experience or Sales representative.
