New CEO appointed at Containerships – CMA CGM GmbH

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Rob WATERMAN as the new Chief Executive Officer of Containerships – CMA CGM GmbH effective as from 1st of July 2020, headquartered in Hamburg.

Rob Waterman will be replacing Claude Lebel who is retiring after a long and successful career with CMA CGM Group.

Rob is an experienced leader with over 30 years of demonstrated international experience in shipping and logistics industry.

Previously, Rob Waterman was the CEO for CMA CGM (UK) Shipping Ltd since March 2013, based in Liverpool. Prior to joining CMA CGM, Rob held various senior positions in the leading companies of logistics sector in Europe.

Rob strongly believes this is a tremendous opportunity to contribute in building and further developing the truly sustainable leader in Intra-European multimodal transport: “Containerships offers market leading, SUSTAINABLE and environmentally friendly products and services spear headed by CMA CGM group’s investment in LNG technology. Hopefully everyone agrees that in today’s world that is a top priority. I am very proud to be part of a group that has this intense focus on SUSTAINABILITY.”

Rob emphasizes the importance of further expansion and service development to serve market needs*: “We will continue to develop and expand our services. That expansion starts this week with the launch of our new service connecting mainland Europe and Ireland.
