MSC launches direct weekly service between India and USA, Via Haifa

The “INDUS EXPRESS” service will have eight 6,500 TEU vessels and will offer a fixed day weekly service

MSC launches direct weekly service between India and USA, Via Haifa

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. announced the launch of a new weekly direct service between India and the East Coast of the United States of America,
via Haifa.

The “INDUS EXPRESS” service will have eight 6,500 TEU vessels and will offer a fixed day weekly service with the following Port Rotation i.e. Mundra ( ten days transit
time to Haifa), Nhava Sheva (NSICT) ( nine days transit time to Haifa), – Haifa -New York (11 days transit time) -Norfolk(12 days transit time) –Charleston (13 days
transit time) –Savannah (14 days transit time) –Freeport (16 days transit time).

MSC noted that the direct service and fast sailing time from Israel to the United States will allow exporters of refrigerated cargo of agricultural products, medicines,
and food products from Israel to reach the largest and most important market in the United States at much shorter time.

President of MSC IIsrael, Edni Simkin noted that MSC intends to use the port of Haifa for transshipment to destinations in the eastern Mediterranean / Black Sea / Sea Adriatic ports from India and to US ports. We expect a significant increase in quantities of transshipment containers in the port Haifa.”
