As part of our newly launched standalone East/West Network, we are delighted to announce innovative enhancements for two of our key transatlantic services. They reflect MSC’s commitment to providing clients with the most competitive transit times and the biggest choice of direct port pairs.
Our MEDUSEC service will achieve an industry-leading transit time of just 9 days between Genoa and New York with the following adjustments:
- Calls in Barcelona and Sines will be removed from MEDUSEC.
- Barcelona will be reshuffled to feature on our EMUSA service.
- Sines will remain connected to the US East coast via our EMUSA service.
- Increased trade connectivity and access to the US East Coast for islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea (Sardinia and Sicily) via our feeder services.
- Enhanced access to US East Coast for inland regions enabled by our intermodal coverage across Italy.
The 11 Transatlantic services on our standalone East/West network will provide unmatched trade connectivity overall between Europe and the USA through a vast array of direct calls and competitive transit times.
