MSC Adapts its East-West Network to The Situation in The Red Sea

The following release was published by MSC:

Given the security situation in the Red Sea and to ensure the safety of our crew, MSC ships are not transiting the Suez Canal Eastbound and Westbound until Red Sea passage is safe again.

Redirecting all vessels via the Cape has impacted global shipping networks. Therefore, MSC is adapting its East-West routes to manage this disruption.

As such, rotations will be changed and vessels will be added to limit the disruption on sailing schedule of the rerouting via the Cape.

Find below the updated rotations, effective early February:

  • Condor: Ningbo – Shanghai – Nansha – Yantian – Tanjung Pelepas – Colombo – Tanger Med – Felixstowe – Hamburg – Antwerp – London Gate – Le Havre – Tanger Med – Abu Dhabi – Jebel Ali

  • Griffin: Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Tanjung Pelepas – Felixstowe – Rotterdam – Le Havre – Tanger Med T2 –Colombo – Singapore

  • Jade: Qingdao – Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Xiamen – Nansha – Yantian – Singapore – Valencia – Barcelona – Gioia Tauro – Tanger Med – Singapore – Yantian

  • Phoenix: Xingang – Dalian – Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Shekou – Singapore – Port Said – Koper – Trieste – Rijeka – Trieste – Tanger Med – Singapore

  • Tiger: Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Port Said – Yarimca – Istanbul – Tekirdag – Port Said – Abu Dhabi – Jebel Ali – Singapore – Shekou

  • Dragon: Dalian – Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Yantian – Singapore – Gioia Tauro – Genoa – La Spezia – Fos-Sur-Mer – Barcelona – Valencia – Sines – Mundra – Nhava Sheva – Colombo – Singapore

  • Empire: Yantian – Xiamen – Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Panama – New York – Norfolk – Baltimore – Colombo – Tanjung Pelepas – Yantian

Please note that the rotations of Albatros, Silk, Lion, Swan, America, Emerald, Elephant and Santana services haven’t changed, however by passing via the Cape, longer transit times are expected.
