The following release was published by Maersk:

We refer to our previous communication regarding the security incident affecting operations at Port of Salalah. All Maersk crew are safe and accounted for, and no Maersk vessels or cargo have been affected.

The damage in the container terminal is still undergoing assessment. Experts are inspecting the damaged crane and divers are marking obstructed underwater sections. As such, the area impacted by the incident is limited, and it is not expected to significantly hamper operations or capacity in the terminal.

For the time being operations remains suspended with an expectation to be on hold for another up to 48 hours subject to change depending on guidance from port authorities.

Vessels currently en route to Salalah will continue to call the port; however, operational delays are expected as a result of the ongoing situation. We are closely monitoring developments and remain in contact with the relevant authorities and port stakeholders.
