Maersk stops Oakland port calls on WCCA 2 service

by Hristijan Ivanov

The following advisory was published by Maersk:

We would like to inform you of a temporary change to our WCCA 2 service schedule in order to maintain schedule reliability. Maersk has decided to temporarily remove the Oakland call from this service, resulting in a suspension of booking acceptance for a duration of 20 weeks. Our last call in Oakland was made on February 4th with the Maersk Glacier 404S.

Rest assured, we are committed to delivering your cargo promptly and have arranged for a dedicated feeder service from our hub in Lazaro Cardenas, MX, to Oakland, CA. The estimated time of arrival for this dedicated feeder is March 5th, 2024.

Please note that our WCCA 2 service will continue to cover Los Angeles, CA, and Hueneme, CA. If you prefer to divert your cargo to either of these ports, kindly get in touch with your local customer service representative to make the necessary arrangements.

We want to thank you for your business and look forward to continuously serving your global transportation needs. In case you have any questions please contact your local sales representative and or customer service.
