Maersk - Service Reliability Optimization – TPX

The following release was published by Maersk:

As your end-to-end logistics partner, we are constantly seeking ways to improve the reliability and efficiency of our services. Now more than ever, supply chain resilience and stability are key, that’s why we are pleased to announce the service offering and reliability optimization for TPX.

Along with ocean service to and from Tacoma by TPX, we are expanding rail solutions available to your logistics needs via Tacoma gateway, and we continue offering the direct and reliable coverage in Alaska area on bi-weekly basis.

TPX rotation: Qingdao - Shanghai - Busan - Tacoma - Dutch Harbour - Yokohama - Qingdao

In view of historical operation disruption during fog and typhoon season, we are optimizing TPX coastal schedule in Asia. These schedule changes in some instances will increase cargo transit (from 1 to 4 days), but more importantly it will improve the service reliability, reduce delay aggregation and schedule gaps. It will also help reduce the impact of congestion and bottlenecks and offer you more mobility for robust supply chain planning and greater ability to respond to market changes with agility.
