Maersk Line is enhancing the Far East / South East India network with the introduction of two new services, the Chennai Express (CHX) and the Chennai Express 2 (CHX2), effective January 2016.

In our continuous efforts to provide our customers with a competitive Far East / South East India network, we are introducing two new services, a Vessel Sharing Agreement on the Chennai Express (CHX) and Slot Charter Agreement on the Chennai Express 2 (CHX2), from January 2016.

The rotations for these new services will be as follows:

CHX
Busan > Qingdao – Xingang – Busan – Shanghai – Nansha New Port – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas – Chennai – Krishnapatnam / Kattupalli (biweekly) – Visakhapatnam – Tanjung Pelepas – Singapore

CHX2
Busan – Shanghai – Hong Kong – Yantian – Singapore – Port Klang – Chennai – Port Klang – Singapore – Shanghai

The enhanced network will have a unique Northern China direct call, headhaul new direct port calls including Singapore, Hong Kong, Yantian and Port Klang, and backhaul new direct port calls including Busan, Singapore and Port Klang. The introduction of the CHX and CHX2 services will offer our customers increased frequency of two sailings a week and improved flexibility with the largest capacity share. Through improved accessibility to/from South East India ports including Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Krishnapatnam and Kattupall, we will ensure our customers a world class product between the Far East and South East India.
