A newly-announced transpacific 2M service between China and Long Beach made only three sailings before being suspended
Just three sailings after having added a new transpacific service in response to Hanjin Shipping’s demise, both Maersk Line and MSC have pulled the service, which they had marketed as TP1 and Maple respectively. In mid-September, the service was announced as deploying 4,000 TEU vessels to Yantian, Shanghai, and Busan before heading to Long Beach. Alphaliner reports that the vessels actually deployed were between 7,800 and 9,400 TEU. It remains uncertain whether the service will resume later.
