Infamous Reliability Promise Seems to be Sliding for Gemini

At TPM25, eeSea CEO Simon Sundboell gave a first look at the Gemini Cooperation's reliability, and how it stacks up against their (in)famous 90% promise.

According to eeSea data by March 4th, the two carriers had hit a combined 91% average reliability in the first four weeks of their cooperation.

We're now adding another two weeks of data, which also includes the first head haul arrivals into North America.

The reliability remains high, but the downward trend unfortunately continues.

The weeks since March 3rd have shown respectively 87% → 84% → 83% OTP. Note that we're only three days into the current week (wk12), so that number will change. The total OTP since the beginning of the cooperation has therefore dropped below the 90% for the first time.

The above covers all port calls on all Gemini strings. If we solely look at head haul arrivals into North America from the Far East, the OTP sits at 94% for the 18 arrivals thus far, the first vessels having arrived in early March.

Yesterday we predicted that all 4 Gemini Alliance vessels were due to arrive on time into European ports. However, it now seems the Adams will not be able to get a berth upon arrival in Tanger Med, and will thus be off schedule. eeSea will follow the development and keep you posted.
