Hapag-Lloyd - Inland solutions for Red Sea cargo connectivity

The following release was published by Hapag-Lloyd:

Here’s an update on your Red Sea connectivity. As we continue to address the impact of the Suez Canal situation, we are introducing land service corridors from Jebel Ali, Dammam, and Jubail to Jeddah. This will enable the connection with our ocean shuttle service out of Jeddah. While this is not the optimal solution in terms of capacity, it will offer another option to the current transit times, especially where alternative routings become excessively long.

Our aim is to provide you with a convenient contingency solution to overcome this unexpected closure until the situation in the Red Sea has been normalized. There are additional standard corridors within Saudi Arabia to cater for your cargo needs, and we are ready to assist you in building the most optimal solution for your cargo planning. If you should require additional information about this solution, please contact your local sales representatives who are looking forward to assisting you with your queries.

We will continue to expand this inland network within the GCC. Stay tuned for more updates.
