The following customer advisory was posted by Hapag-Lloyd:
We are pleased to inform you that effective March 25, 2017 Hapag-Lloyd will be implementing some changes to its services between Asia and the West Coast of Latin America as a consequence of the termination of our Asia – Mexico Express 2 Service (AME2).
Our Asia – Mexico Express 2 (AME2) will be discontinued as from week 13, the last sailing will be provided with the APL Latvia (voyage 29E) in Kaohsiung March 20, 2017.
Main changes on the services will be as follows:
Eastbound (Asia to Latin America West Coast)
- AN1 (Andex 1) No changes
- AN2 (Andex 2) Starting with MV MSC Perle V-FA713A on April 5, 2017 we will add a Kaohsiung eastbound call
- AME1 (Asia – Mexico Express 1) No changes
In addition we will be adding two new eastbound products to our portfolio with following rotations:
- AC2: Qingdao, Shanghai, Pusan, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buenaventura – Service is scheduled to start with MV Maersk Salalah V-1702 in Qingdao March 25, 2017.
- AC3: Kaohsiung, Nansha, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Ningbo, Kwangyang, Yokohama, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buenaventura, Callao, San Antonio, San Vicente – Service is scheduled to start with MV Maersk Antares V-1702 in Kaoshiung March 29, 2017.
Westbound (Latin America West Coast to Asia)
- AN1 (Andex 1) No changes
- AN2 (Andex 2) No changes
- AME1 (Asia – Mexico Express 1) Starting with MV Cochrane V-713W we will add a Buenaventura and a Lazaro Cardenas westbound call, final dates will be confirmed at a later stage.
In addition we will be adding two new westbound products to our portfolio with following rotations:
- AC1: Valparaiso, San Vicente, Callao, Buenaventura, Balboa, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo, Yokohama, Pusan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Chiwan, Hong Kong – Service is scheduled to start with MV Maersk Lome V-1703 in Valparaiso May 13, 2017.
- AC2: Balboa, Buenaventura, Lazaro Cardenas, Qingdao, Shanghai, Pusan – Service is scheduled to start with MV Maersk Salalah V-1704 in Balboa April 21, 2017.
All these service changes and additions are meant to improve our service frequency and coverage for the benefit of you.
