G6 Alliance announces service adjustments between Asia and North America

Customers benefit from several enhancements / AZX service to include additional Halifax call / Shorter transit times

In response to market demand, members of the G6 Alliance today announced the following service enhancements in the Asia – North America (East Coast) trade:

AZX (Asia Suez Express) service with additional Halifax call

The AZX service will be upgraded to include an additional Halifax call. This move is expected to improve transit times from Canada to Asian and Mediterranean ports as well as from Asian and Mediterranean ports to New York.

New port rotation: Laem Chabang – Singapore – Colombo – Damietta – Cagliari – Halifax – New York – Savannah – Norfolk – Halifax (new) – Cagliari – Damietta – Jebel Ali – Singapore – Laem Chabang
Effective voyage: Budapest Express BUX 029E, ETA Laem Chabang 6 July 2015 and ETA Halifax 4 Aug 2015

The G6 Alliance offers a variety of services between Asia and Europe, Asia and North America as well as on the Transatlantic covering all major port pairs with weekly sailings. The G6 Alliance members are: APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Orient Overseas Container Line.
