While we can only speculate if this cutback is a direct result of Trump's 'trade war' Asia, our team has confirmed that TS Lines' AWC2 service will be suspended as of April 29. In the absence of any advisory, eeSea analysts pieced together the impending stoppage based on the port-to-port schedules on the carrier's site no longer returning results for any direct calls between China and the US.
The final voyage on the service will be made by the TS TOKYO, an 18.K TEU Taiwanese build forecasted to make her last call to Los Angeles on April 13.
The only remaining Transpacific service offered by TSL is the slightly larger AWC with an average weekly vessel capacity of 4.8K TEU. The string is jointly operated by SeaLead Shipping and calls Long Beach with a last load port out of Busan.
