Terminals
Terminals in GCA main ports remain business as usual including vessel operation, yard handling and gate-in & out. We foresee vessel waiting time will increase in Yantian and Chiwan ports.
Chiwan/Mawan/Shekou Container Terminal:
From 21st Mar, CY-open will be available only to vessels within ETB-4 days only after the terminal confirms the advance reservation made by trucking companies for laden containers gate-in.
Vessels
Due to aforementioned disruptions, we regret to inform you that several vessels will be omitting the Port of Yantian and Shekou in order to protect schedule reliability. Please refer to the contingency plan outlined as below.
Empty pick-up & return
All depots in Shenzhen stay open from this week.
Landside
The overall landside transportation situation is dynamic subject to change. Trucking service for now is still available in China main ports and nearby cities providing the drivers hold negative Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) report requested by local governments. Specifically, we foresee trucking service between Shenzhen and nearby cities will be severely impacted by 20% due to the stricter road control and frequent Nucleic Acid Test. Consequently, there will be longer delivery time and a possible rise in transport costs such as detour fee and highway fee.
Warehouse
Shenzhen: All the warehouses are open to accept cargo from this week.
Shenzhen, Qingdao and Xiamen: Warehouses keep operations for now. However drivers are requested to show both health code and negative NAT report within 48 hours for cargo delivery.
Shanghai: Warehouses keep operations for now. However drivers are requested to show health code for cargo delivery. In addition, the drivers from medium-high risk area need to show negative NAT report within 48 hours and the drivers from non-risk area need to show negative NAT report issued during 16th -20th Mar for delivering cargo from 21st to 27th Mar.
Hong Kong: Distribution Center (HKDC) keeps operations for now. Drivers and helpers need to complete vaccination when they come to HKDC according to the government’s vaccine bubble requirements.
AIR
Hong Kong: Due to the suspension of the trucking service between Hong Kong and Mainland, barge service is taken as an alternative for cargo moving. Airfreight space reservation will not be proceeded until the cargo is delivered to Hong Kong airport warehouse. As a consequence, It will take longer lead time than usual for the airfreight service.
Shenzhen: AIR warehousing and pick-up service resume.
