This is a followup to an eeSea article published on November 15th where we discussed the inevitability of carriers dropping the prospect of passage through the Suez in early 2025.
After some flip-flopping and an almost-arrival by the CMA CGM PELLEAS earlier this month, today's observations by eeSea analysts revealed all upcoming voyages through the Suez have effectively been wiped from CMA - INDAMEX schedules. Even after scrapping PELLEAS' voyage, it appeared CMA CGM was still weighing the possibilites due to long-term schedules displaying Suez transits from January 1st onwards.
Despite the absence of any official advisory from the carrier at this time, we are firmly convinced that use of the Suez passage on the INDAMEX service will likely remain out of favor through the end of Q1 2024.
