CMA CGM MASAI MARA, CMA CGM LEBU, CMA CGM KRIBI recovery plan due to Weather delays around the South African coast

The following advisory was published by Maersk:

Please be advised that The CMA CGM MASAI MARA has experienced delays into Cape Town due to the unfavourable sailing conditions from Sunday 7th July until 12th July caused by severe weather conditions during this period. The CMA CGM MASAI MARA was not the only vessel impacted by the weather and after reviewing the schedules of the following vessels, CMA CGM MASAI MARA, CMA CGM KRIBI and CMA CGM LEBU the following contingency has been triggered in an attempt to offer maximum coverage in South Africa and ensure weekly arrivals into Jebel Ali

The CMA CGM LEBU will Omit Cape Town and proceed to Port Elizabeth for the position of the CMA CGM MASIA MARA, 16th July, the vessel will advance into Jebel Ali for the window in Jebel Ali for the 28th July.

The CMA CGM MASAI MARA will take the berthing window of the 13th July in Cape Town and is expected to berthing around the 17th July and Coega berthing is expected for the 20th July. The CMA CGM MASAI MARA will be delayed a week into Jebel Ali and arrive for the position of the 4th Augusts.

The CMA CGM KRIBI will take the berthing window of the 20th July in Cape Town, 7 days later than the original position and Coega berthing is expected for the 25th July. The CMA CGM KRIBI will delayed a week into Jebel Ali and arrive for the position of the 11th August.
