Bolloré Africa Logistics unveiled its new brand on March 30, 2023. The company will now operate under the name: AGL , for Africa Global Logistics.
AGL's ambition, within the MSC Group, is to continue contributing to the sustainable transformation of Africa and emerging markets. It wishes to support the continent, by providing tailor-made logistics solutions, by improving the connectivity of territories, and by contributing to the establishment of a virtuous logistics ecosystem for all of its stakeholders.
Integrated logistics solutions provider
With a century-old know-how on the continent, AGL will continue to provide its local and international customers with a competitive integrated logistics network. A benchmark multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa, AGL will improve the productivity of the terminals it operates for the benefit of all shipping companies. AGL will develop multimodal logistics solutions to meet the expectations of its customers.
Driver of the global connectivity of African territories
AGL has more than 250 logistics and shipping agencies, 22 port and rail concessions, 66 dry ports and 2 river terminals. The company, thanks to this network, designs and implements solutions adapted to the needs of its customers throughout the value chain, even in less accessible areas. AGL will accelerate its investments in order to develop its capacities and facilitate the import and export of goods. AGL will thus respond to the challenges of intra-African trade, energy transition, the continent's demographic growth, the improvement of the living environment and the digitalization of Africa.
Actor of sustainable and inclusive growth in Africa
With its 21,000 employees in 49 countries, AGL intends to deploy a development strategy serving the men and women of the continent. AGL will continue to promote African talents as well as the ecosystem of local SMEs, by providing support for the development of the potential of young African talents. Concerned about its footprint on the environment, AGL will make sustainable investments, set up programs to promote eco-responsibility in transport (Green Terminal) and mobilize its employees, subcontractors and suppliers with a view to reducing the impact of its activities on the environment.
