The following release was published by ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd (ZIM):

Following our previous advisory as to the latest sudden developments in the Black Sea region, we would like to share with our customers the following updates concerning our services within the region:

  • All services to Odessa port (Ukraine) are still suspended, and as such, ZIM will not be accepting Bookings to and from Odessa until further notice.
  • All cargo which is currently located in the Odessa terminal will not be charged for demurrage from February 24th until March 15th.
  • Shipments which are already en-route to Ukraine will be discharged at one of the following transshipment ports: Haifa (Israel) and Yarimca (Turkey), per service, until further decisions are taken. Customers who wish to change the current destination should approach their port of loading Customer Service team for further support.
  • Services to and from other Black Sea ports, including Russia, remain available for the time being. However, this is subject to change if the situation in the region deteriorates.
  • All shipments to Russia will be booked under freight prepaid terms only, effective immediately.

As the safety of our employees is our top priority, the ZIM office in Odessa will remain temporarily closed, while employees are working from home, doing their utmost to maintain business continuity as the situation allows.
