A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S announces change in the composition of the Executive Board

A.P. Moller – Maersk is accelerating the business transformation after a year of solid progress in becoming the global integrator of container logistics.

The areas Finance, Transformation, IT and Digital, which today are organized in one function will be divided into a fully focused finance function and functions focused on IT, Strategy, Digital and Transformation. Hereby, the IT-function will answer directly into the CEO, Søren Skou, the execution power will be increased and it will pave the way for further accelerating the business transformation.

Consequently, the current Chief Finance, Strategy and Transformation Officer and registered director, Jakob Stausholm has decided to leave A.P. Moller – Maersk.

Jakob has led the first part of our digital transformation and has done a great job in driving our strategy and managing the CFO-areas. It is the right solution for the company, however as a consequence of the change, I have requested to pursue other opportunities.”

Jakob Stausholm will step down from the Executive Board of A.P. Moller – Maersk by the end of March 2018.
