The following release was published by Maersk:

We are writing to inform you of changes we will be making to our Asia-Europe services, which will go into effect during April 2026.

Our goal continues to be to ensure your supply chain moves with the connectivity and resilience you need. As such, we continue to improve our network to give you industry leading schedule reliability, comprehensive connectivity and multiple routing options connecting major Asian and European gateways. The below routes go around the Cape of Good Hope.

Asia Europe 1 (AE1) AE1, that connects Asia and Europe, will, as previously announced, add a call to Antwerp, Belgium. It will no longer call Tangier (TC1), Morocco. Below you can see the changes in the rotation, with new calls added in bold.

Previous rotation: Shanghai – Yantian - Tanjung Pelepas – Rotterdam – Hamburg – London Gateway – Tangier (TC1) - Tangier (TC3) – Singapore

New rotation: Shanghai – Yantian - Tanjung Pelepas – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Antwerp – London Gateway – Tangier (TC3) – Singapore

Asia Europe 2 (AE2) There are no changes to this rotation.

Current rotation: Ningbo – Shanghai – Tanjung Pelepas – Tangier (TC1) – Tangier (TC3) – Wilhelmshaven – Bremerhaven – Rotterdam – Salalah – Singapore

Asia Europe 3 (AE3) AE3 that connects Asia and Europe, will add calls to Yantian, China; Aarhus, Denmark; Gothenburg Sweden and Southampton, UK. The service will no longer call Ningbo, China and Algeciras, Spain. Below you can see the changes in the rotation, with new calls added in bold.

Previous rotation: Shanghai – Ningbo - Tanjung Pelepas – Algeciras – London Gateway – Rotterdam – Algeciras - Singapore

New rotation: Shanghai - Yantian - Tanjung Pelepas – London Gateway – AarhusGothenburg – Rotterdam – Southampton - Singapore

Asia Europe 5 (AE5) AE5 that connects Asia and Europe, will add calls to Ningbo, China and Algeciras, Spain. It will call Bremerhaven in Germany before calling Hamburg. The service will no longer call Yantian, China; Aarhus, Denmark and Gothenburg, Sweden. Below you can see the changes in the rotation, with new and changed calls added in bold.

Previous rotation: Qingdao – Yantian - Tanjung Pelepas – London Gateway – Hamburg – Bremerhaven – Aarhus – Gothenburg - Rotterdam – Tanjung Pelepas

New rotation: Qingdao - Ningbo - Tanjung Pelepas – London Gateway – Bremerhaven - Hamburg – Rotterdam – Algeciras – Tanjung Pelepas

Asia Europe 11 (AE11) There are no changes to the current rotation on this service.

Current rotation: Ningbo – Shanghai – Tanjung Pelepas – Tangiers (TM2) – Valencia – Barcelona – La Spezia – Genoa – Vado Ligure – Singapore

Asia Europe 12 (AE12)* AE12, that connects Asia, the Mediterranean and Europe, will add calls to Algeciras, Spain and Singapore. The service will no longer call Port Said East, Egypt and Colombo, Sri Lanka. Below you can see the changes in the rotation, with new calls added in bold.

Previous rotation: Ningbo – Shanghai - Tanjung Pelepas – Port Said East – Koper – Rijeka – Port Said East – Colombo

New rotation: Ningbo – Shanghai - Tanjung Pelepas – Algeciras – Koper – Rijeka – Algeciras – Singapore

  • When possible, Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd will implement changes to AE12 and AE15 services to go through Red Sea and the Suez Canal at a later stage

Asia Europe 15 (AE15)* AE15, that connects Asia, the Mediterranean and Europe, will add calls to Damietta, Egypt and Colombo, Sri Lanka. The service will no longer call Izmit, Turkey and Istanbul, Turkey. The decision to make this change builds on the success of the network: We are “modularising” Turkey, continuing to offer the high connectivity with our reliable shuttle connections via Port Said and Damietta. Below you can see the changes in the rotation, with new calls added in bold.

Previous rotation: Qingdao – Gwangyang - Ningbo - Tanjung Pelepas – Port Said East – Izmit – Istanbul - Port Said East – Singapore

New rotation: Qingdao – Gwangyang - Ningbo - Tanjung Pelepas – Port Said - Damietta - Colombo – Singapore
