MSC is pleased to announce a significant upgrade to its NWC-USA-SAWC service with a new direct call at Bilbao, Spain. This strategic addition is designed to give exporters in the city’s hinterland and northern Spain seamless access to major markets in the Caribbean, Central America and the West Coast of South America.
Supporting a variety of sectors – in particular plywood, raw materials, food and beverages and many others – the enhanced service is unique to the market and marks MSC’s commitment to connecting Spain to Latin America.
The upgraded service will deliver unbeatable transit times, avoiding the delays caused by the current congestion in transhipment hubs. Competitive transit times from Bilbao include:
- Caucedo - 16 days ▪ Cartagena - 19 days ▪ Cristobal - 21 days ▪ Rodman - 22 days
- Callao - 26 days ▪ San Antonio - 30 days ▪ Coronel - 32 days ▪ Valparaiso - 33 days
Customers will also be able to access MSC’s comprehensive suite of services, including inland solutions, customs clearance and container stuffing.
The first vessel on the new rotation will be the MSC Carole, voyage 550A scheduled to call at Bilbao on December 20th with the full new rotation as follows:
London – Rotterdam – Antwerp – Bilbao – Las Palmas – Caucedo – Cartagena – Cristobal– Rodman – Callao – San Antonio – Coronel – Valparaiso
